Full Description
Chlamydia is the 2nd and Gonorrhea is the 4th most common sexually transmitted infection in U.S. Depending on your sexual activity, they can be transmitted and affect either the mouth, genitals or rectal area independently. If you have engaged in oral or anal sex, we recommend you use the 3-Site test kit to ensure you are in the clear. Both infections are curable when detected early. An untreated chlamydia or gonorrhea infection can cause serious, permanent damage to a woman’s reproductive system, making it difficult or impossible for her to get pregnant later on. Infections can lead to serious complications such as life-threatening pregnancy outside the womb, infertility and long-term pelvic/abdominal pain. Both men and women can develop painful rectal and oral (throat) infections.
SOME OF THE MOST COMMON CHLAMYDIA SYMPTOMS INCLUDE:
- discharge from the penis or vagina
- burning feeling during urination
- more frequent urination
- in women, abdominal and/or pelvic pain, pain during sexual intercourse
- in men, testicular pain, tenderness and swelling
- rectal pain, discharge and/or bleeding
ABOUT CHLAMYDIA:
Most people who have chlamydia don’t know it since the infection often has no symptoms (as much as 70% of the time or more).
- Chlamydia is the most commonly reported STD in the United States.
- Sexually active females under 25 years of age should test every year.
- Although it is easy to cure, chlamydia can make it difficult for a woman to get pregnant if left untreated.

SOME OF THE MOST COMMON GONORRHEA SYMPTOMS INCLUDE:
- discharge from the penis or vagina
- burning feeling during urination
- more frequent urination
- in women, abdominal and/or pelvic pain, pain during sexual intercourse
- in men, testicular pain, tenderness and swelling
- anal itching and rectal pain, discharge and/or bleeding
- sore throat and difficulty swallowing
ABOUT GONORRHEA:
Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) that can infect both men and women. It can cause infections in the genital area, rectum, and throat. Like chlamydia, it is especially common among teens and young adults, but can infect individuals at any age. Many men and more than half of women have no symptoms when infected.
